If you hop on social media, you’ll find plenty of versions of OTHER people’s success. This can be confusing for sensitive people and empaths. It was confusing for me!
Last summer I took two months off of social media to clear out the volume of the external world. I wanted to hear my inner channel more. I realized that other people’s ideas of success were slowly creeping into my unconscious mind. And it was time to clean them out!
I do versions of this info detox from time to time. When I’m struggling to stay in touch with my inner voice, I know it’s time for a break. Sometimes those breaks are tiny shifts. For example, changing the time I check social media. And other times those breaks are bigger. For example, making a pact with myself to stay off of social media for a whole weekend.
But social media isn’t the only obstacle. Societal expectations can cloud our version of success too.
Expectations from society, culture, family, outline what IS and IS NOT success. I got lost in other people’s expectations early in my life and needed a massive course correction. Even though my life is more aligned today, I need to regularly revisit what success means to me.
So what’s the solution?
Recognizing that fulfillment comes from defining success on our terms alone.
On this episode of Tune In with Marci I revisit how to let your intuition lead your success.
I explore:
Why success on other people’s terms doesn’t lead to happiness.
How to redefine success on your terms.
Why you need long-term AND short-term visions.
Unique challenges sensitive people and empaths to create self defined success.
How feelings of jealousy can point you back to your own inner voice.
And why the law of attraction doesn’t give the whole picture to manifesting.
Much love,
Marci
